Jayne Somes-Schloesser – Vice President for Administration
Jayne Somes-Schloesser has extensive association management experience in large and small associations. Her career spans more than 20 years in four associations, including three large associations with revenues greater than $30 million and one small-trade association with revenues of $8 million. Most recently, she served as the deputy executive director and chief operating officer (COO) at the Optical Society of America (OSA), where she oversaw finance, technology, HR, conventions and meetings, legal, customer service and facilities management.
Prior to her tenure at OSA, Somes-Schloesser served as the senior vice president of operations for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), with responsibility for MBA’s operations. In that role, she served as a liaison to board members leading committees on compensation, auditing, investment management and strategic planning. Previously, she served as vice president of operations at the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) and director of operations at the Electronic Industries Association.
Somes-Schloesser holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota, and a Master of Arts in human resource management from George Washington University. She is active in several professional membership organizations and is currently the 2011 president of the National Association of Women MBAs, mid-Atlantic chapter.
