John Paul – Vice President for East Region
John Paul was the Center for Energy and Economic Development’s “first hire” as the South region vice president in 1993. CEED was one of the predecessor organizations to the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity and John brings a career of public and government affairs expertise to his work as ACCCE’s East region vice president.
Early in his career, John worked as a mining representative in government relations for Bethlehem Steel. Later, he transitioned to public affairs for AMAX Coal. At the time John became responsible for public and government relations at AMAX; it was the largest mining company in the Free World.
John’s responsibilities include coordination of ACCCE’s relationships with state governments in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Virginia.
His Juris Doctor was awarded by St. John’s University. John is a graduate of Canisius College, has three grown sons and resides in New Jersey.
